    2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Review

The Chevy Corvette may have passed the 50-year mark a few seasons ago, but there's no better proof of the power of middle age than the 2009 Corvette ZR1, the most powerful 'Vette ever produced and one capable of more than 200 mph. The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is equipped with a hand-built, supercharged 6.2 liter V8 that puts out well over five times that - 638 horses that will shoot you from 0 to 60 in under 3.5 seconds, and take you to a top speed of 205 MPH.

Now for the bad news: the sticker-price for this fire-breathing road dragon is a whopping $104,700. Including gas-guzzler tax (enough said, here).

That's just for starters; throw in power leather seats, side airbags, a nav system, Bluetooth function, a power telescoping steering wheel and Bose audio system, and you're looking at around $115,000.

Consider that one can purchase a fully-restored vintage 1958-60 Corvette for half that amount - which properly cared for, will increase in value over the years. Although there is no...

    2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Review

The good news: more American drivers want to "go green" when it comes to their transportation choices. However, they're not ready to give up driving SUVs. How to reconcile those vastly different missions?

GM's answer is the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid. The 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has all of the utility and advantages of the non-hybrid Tahoe - and a few drawbacks as well.

On the upside, the hybrid version offers the same muscle, the same cargo and passenger room and the same handling as its gasoline-powered counterpart. Towing capacity is an impressive three tons, and the vehicle can run on electric power alone at speeds up to 32 miles per hour. Most test drivers find the regenerative brakes (which, like those of the Toyota Prius, help charge the battery during application) superior to those of the gas-powered Tahoe.

While the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid may put out less in terms of emissions because of the amount of time that it is under electric power, fuel economy is not much...

    2010 Chevrolet Camaro Preview

September 26, 1966. Where were you on that historic day? Most of us reading this were either young children or not yet born. Yet it's probable that many of the boys had a toy replica of the legendary vehicle that GM unveiled that day: the all-new Camaro, a machine that defined the term "muscle car."

It was a sad day indeed in 2001 when GM announced that the beloved Camaro - then in its fourth incarnation - would be discontinued after 35 continuous years of production. However, like another GM favorite - the Buick Century - our Camaro refuses to die. Four years after shutting down production, GM approved production of the 5th generation 2010 Chevy Camaro, which is due in showrooms by the spring of 2009.

The initial offering of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will be a hard-top, two door coupe; however, a convertible model is planned as well. In either case, fans of the new, improved 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will appreciate its sleek retro-design inside and out, which is at once contemporary and...

    2008 Chevrolet Silverado

The Silverado 1500 is Chevy's long-standing entry in the full-size pickup class. The 2007 model year brought a new design, and Chevy seems content with the changes, as the 2008 model remains virtually unchanged. Standard satellite radio and an optional integrated trailer brake control round out the updates for the year.

With a dizzying number of cab levels, trim levels, and bed lengths, the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers the flexibility to meet a variety of consumer needs -- from family chariot to full-time farmhand. The standard cab design comes with two bed options -- standard bed (6-foot, 6-inch) and long bed (8-ft.). Extended cabs add the option of a short bed (5-ft., 8-in.). Crew crabs are limited to the short bed option.

Silverados with a regular cab are available in a Work or LT trim. Extended and crew cabs add the top-tier LTZ trim. An exclusive LS trim is available on the crew cab. In addition to trim levels, a variety of upgrade packages are available for those seeking...

    2008 Chevrolet Equinox

Originally introduced in the 2005 model year, the Chevrolet Equinox has received few cosmetic changes over the past few years. The 2008 model bucks this trend a bit by introducing two new trim levels: a luxury-focused LTZ and performance-inspired Sport. A recalibrated suspension debuts on all Equinox models, and OnStar and stability control are now standard features for all trim levels.

While Chevy bills the Equinox as a compact SUV, the dimensions of the vehicle are more in line with the mid-size SUV class. As such, the vehicle offers a spacious interior cabin, particularly in the rear seat. However, this wide-open design comes at the expense of a third row of seating, which limits maximum occupancy to five. For versatile storage and seating options, the rear seat can slide on a track that delivers an extra eight inches of legroom or trunk space. The rear seat also folds forward in a 60/40 split to accommodate the transportation of larger items.

    Engine options on the Chevrolet...
